Mission

"To give every survivor permission to hope, and every caregiver a hand to hold."

I never planned to write a book. I planned to walk again.

My name is Jose Zolorzano. To readers and friends online, I'm JayDeeSolo. I'm a husband, a father, a son, and by grace a stroke and brain aneurysm survivor.

When the aneurysm hit, my life narrowed to a single hospital room and the sound of monitors. The stroke that followed stole my words, my balance, and the easy certainty that tomorrow would arrive on schedule. What it did not steal was the quiet voice inside me that whispered, not yet, not yet, not yet.

I started keeping notes. Then a journal. Then chapters. Stroke Journal is that record unvarnished, honest, and bathed in the same stubborn faith that pulled me out of bed on the days I didn't think I could.

I wrote it for the survivor learning a new normal. For the spouse afraid to sleep. For the parent praying through a hospital window. For anyone who needs proof that after the dark night, the morning still comes.
